Nocturn gives you instant hands-on control of your plug-in instruments and FX. Nocturn comes with Novation's Automap control software, which allows you to take instant control of your plug-ins by just clicking on your software and touching a knob or button!

Laptop DJ Controller

What is Automap?

Automap is a piece of software that comes with all Novation controllers. It has been designed to make the job of assigning your hardware controls to various software parameters quick and easy.

Open a plug-in instrument/FX, and you have instant access to all the plug-in parameters. This allows you to assign knobs, faders and buttons, by simply clicking on the software parameter, and touching the control!

Ableton Live Users

Nocturn is now a great Ableton Live device controller. The latest version of its Automap control software (3.5) means that when you open up one of Live's own instruments or FX, Nocturn's 8 knobs will automatically map to the first 8 parameters in the device. If you want to control more than 8 parameters on a big device such as Operator, you can simply 'page' through and control as many parameters as you want.
